Are you a little uneasy about sending your money and wondering if a rental will be waiting for you when you arrive? Many unfortunately have lost a lot of money. Today, Brandon and Rick give you some tips on how to protect yourself when booking that dream vacation.
- Use your gut feeling.
- Never correspond or pay outside Airbnb or other vacation site. Don’t be fooled by their copycat site. If it isn’t Airbnb.com, it is fake.
- Obtain the address and check out listing on Google Earth. Does it match exactly?
- Don’t use a “chat box” as a help section. Airbnb doesn’t have one.
- Check the site to see if reviews are only allowed by actual renters.
Moral: When booking a vacation, don’t use your head. Make it a financial decision, not an emotional one.
