- Try using the cash method. Make a note of how much cash you take out and put it into a separate envelope.
- Make an envelope (or phone notepad) of your credit card purchases. There also may be apps.
- If you have a baking or craftsman skill, list recipients who would like one of your creations. (See our 25 year baking tradition of baking 30 plates).
- Shop at estate sales and thrift stores looking for that vintage or antique items.
- Use cash back awards on your credit cards.
- Go in with someone on a present.
- Start planning for next year’s gifts.
Moral: Think unconventionally when buying. You may surprise the people on your gift list.
